what inspired this short film?

a few months ago I was in a writing/studio session with a friend of mine and amazing writer, John Michael. The idea was literally started from a line he wrote “yellow tape surrounds me”. After that we sort of let our imaginations run wild and basicaly wrote this story about a woman who discovers her boyfriend is cheating, kills him and wake up only to discover she was having a terrible dream. As we were writing/recording, in my head I visualized how everything would happen, in a sort of Alfred Hitchcock, black and white silent film way. Shot Erin my idea and she loved it. Said “this is the treatment. this is what we’re doing.” and went straight to work.

Shooting this was such a fun experience! Shoutout to Erin Wesley for her artistic vision and really working hard to put everything together, and also the actors, film crew, hair & make up crew and stylist, and the Wesley family for allowing us to use their house as the location. <33
